Avram Grant has broken the silence that he could return to Chelsea to help Frank Lampardi manage the team.
The former strategist of The Blues has denied that such a thing could happen.
The 65-year-old has asked the fans of the London club to give strong support to Lampard, who according to him is working hard to get the team back in top form.
“I read the news in the media about my return to Chelsea,” said Grant.
“I have a lot of positive messages from Chelsea fans, but I have not received any offers from the club.”
“I can say that the fans should give strong support to Lampardi who needs time to prove himself.”
“He is working hard and I believe he will be successful at Chelsea, given that he has built a new team,” added Grant.
If Lampard fails to win the January duels, then he is expected to be sacked by the club board, apparently knowing he has spent over € 200 million on transfers. /Telegraph/
