Arsenal have confirmed that David Luiz has undergone surgery on his right knee and is expected to return to training in the coming weeks.
The Brazilian missed the Gunners’ loss to Liverpool on Saturday night, while Mikel Arteta has admitted that he is not sure if the center-back will be able to play this season.
The footballer, who turns 34 this month, has very little time to recover in an attempt to play this edition again.
The press release of the Arsenal medical staff states that the procedure has been successful and that the player is being rehabilitated at home. The player himself shared a photo from the bed showing that the procedure was successful.
According to the announcement, in the coming days, Luiz is expected to join the medical staff at the training center, where his daily recovery will be followed, in the hope that “in the coming weeks” he may be available to the coach. /Telegraph/
