It is now official that Sergio Aguero will leave Manchester City this summer.
The Argentine striker became a legend of the club, but when this edition is over, they will part ways.
Pep Guardiola has been asked about Aguero’s future and a move to Premier League rivals, saying they only wish him luck.
“We all want the best for him,” said the City coach. “We will be happy with the decision he makes, the best for him and his family, to find the best for Sergio for the last years of his career. My preference is his preference. His preference is my preference. “The best for him is the best for us.”
Aguero broke Eric Brook’s goalscoring record and will have a statue erected in his honor outside the Etihad Stadium.
“Sergio is a good person with specific qualities and skills,” added Guardiola.
“I understand him, I know him and I understand that he needs time to be in a better situation,” the Spaniard further stated. /Telegraph/
