It was initially reported in the international media that the reasons for the dismissal of Jose Mourinho from Tottenham Hotspur had to do with the latter’s decision to join the European Super League.
Following the first reports that the Portuguese coach had refused to lead the team in training, the situation has been clarified.
According to what Fabrizio Romano reports, it has nothing to do with the fact that Mourinho did not attend the training session and was fired, but due to poor results.
Tottenham is currently in seventh place in the Premier League and risks not qualifying for the Europa League either.
That prompted Spurs executives to dismiss Special One, and he will be temporarily replaced by Ryan Mason. /Telegraph/
