Chelsea manager Frank Lampard confirms that Fikayo Tomori will be transferred on loan to Milan.
The Rossoneri are reportedly close to signing the 23-year-old on loan with an option to buy, but the Blues expect to bring the player back to London at the end of the season.
“There are no details, but this has not been confirmed,” Lampard told a news conference.
The former England player, however, admitted that the 23-year-old could leave Stamford Bridge on loan.
“I do not think there is any ‘when it started to go bad’, Fikayo is a developing player.”
“As a team we had four center-backs last year, and you can’t play four in a game. And you try to find consistency at different times.
“At one point Fikayo was in it, and later not so much. “We have five center-backs this year, so the situation is difficult for center-backs who are not playing regularly.”
“And that’s why he can go on loan for his development, he’s a young player and there’s been a huge increase in the last two seasons since I worked with him, and it will continue, and we we will find a better way for this “, added the strategist of The Blues. /Telegraph/
