Liverpool break the 129-year-old ‘negative record’ after losing to Chelsea
Liverpool’s negative record this season in the Premier League has hit a new point, as the Reds have now lost five consecutive league games at Anfield for the first time in their history.
Mason Mount scored in the first half on Thursday as the Chelsea team punished Liverpool in another loss at Anfield.
That loss has led to Liverpool’s five consecutive home games, an absolute negative record in all of history.
The Reds had a full 129 years that had not experienced this series of losses.

Five straight home defeats for first time in Liverpool’s history. And to make matters worse, they’re now on course to post a worse defence of the title than David Moyes’s Man Utd. Moyes’s team had 45 points from 27 games — Liverpool have 43.
