Arsenal have announced that they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Martin Odegaard.
The Norwegian midfielder will be on loan to the London team until the end of this edition.
Although the deal would be completed days in advance, The Gunners had tried to persuade Real Madrid to allow the purchase option as well.
But, Los Blancos rejected such an idea and will leave the player only on loan until the end of this season.
Odegaard has expressed extremely happy for the transfer to Arsenal, saying that he wants to prove himself in a very difficult league.
The midfielder is seen as a replacement for Mesut Ozil, who a few days ago completed his transfer to Fenerbahce. /Telegraph/
