The Albanian footballer who defends the colors of Liverpool, Xherdan Shaqiri, has said that the lack of fans in the stands has made the team have a weak season.
In an interview with Sky he admitted that he is very sad even in his private life, as he has not seen his family for a long time.
“Smaller teams find it easier to come to Anfield when there are no fans.”
“Everyone knows how many fans lead us forward and we have had a number of injuries that have affected weaker matches,” said Shaqiri.
Aside from the fact that his club is not doing well this season, Shaqiri admits that due to the coronavirus pandemic and travel restrictions, he has not seen his family for six months.
“I have not seen my family for five or six months. “It is not easy for me because I am very close to them.”
“I can’t wait to see them again, so I hope things get better soon,” said Shaqiri. /Telegraph/
