Chelsea could tempt goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to leave Milan as a free agent, as he intends to offer him a salary of 10.5 million euros per season.
The Italian goalkeeper turned 22 last month and already has over 200 Serie A appearances under his belt, having made his debut as a 16-year-old.
However, various issues in Milan mean his contract will expire in June 2021, so he can technically agree terms with another club for a free transfer next season.
Donnarumma has said he does not want to take that course of action, however negotiations with agent Mino Raiola to extend his stay at the San Siro have not yet made any progress.
Time is running out and there is a new element that causes problems because the newspaper Free claims Chelsea are offering a salary worth 10.5 million euros per season.
He is currently trying to get a deal worth 7 million euros a year in Milan and the club is resisting by offering less.
Chelsea is not alone, as Paris Saint-Germain has long been linked with Italy’s Donnarumman. / Telegraphy /
