Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has said he was worried Xherdan Shaqiri could be injured in the challenge against West Ham United.
The Albanian midfielder started from the first minute the challenge of Sunday night in the Premier League that took place at London Stadium.
The Reds won 3-1, while the 29-year-old donated a super-assist for Mohamed Salah’s second goal.
The coach decided to replace him immediately after the assist and after the match he showed the reason for this decision.
“Shaq’s last ball was great. “Shaq played a very good game and he could probably play for 90 minutes, but for now it is a problem because he does not know.”
“He has not played many games and has had injury problems before. “I am constantly worried about injuries – and we are trying to save everyone,” said Klopp in a statement on Liverpool’s official website. /Telegraph/
