Frank Lampard addressed Chelsea with a very emotional letter.
The English coach was fired from the club today (January 25) after poor results, but his love for the blues remains the same.
Lampard has thanked the club, staff, players and fans for the support they have given during his time as team coach.
“It has been a great privilege and honor to manage Chelsea, a club that has been a big part of me for a long time,” the Englishman began.
“First of all I want to thank the fans for the great support I have received in the last 18 months. “I hope they know what it means to me.”
“I am proud of the achievements we have made and I am proud of the academy players who did well in the first team and performed very well. “They are the future of the club.”
“I am disappointed that I did not have time this season to bring the club forward and to the place it deserves.”
“I want to thank Abramovich, the board, the players, the coaches and everyone at the club for their work and dedication, especially in challenging times.”
“I wish the club success in the future”, concludes the farewell letter. /Telegraph/
