Manchester City has won this week’s Premier League derby against Liverpool 1-4 at Anfield.
Pep Guardiola’s team did a better game, especially in the second half and so in the end got a well-deserved victory.
The first half was goalless, mainly with a nice game in midfield by both teams, but there were also cases. Sadio Mane (24 ‘) and Roberto Firmino (29’) created opportunities for goal, while Iklay Gundogan missed the penalty in the 37th minute.
The second half was much hotter, Gundogan scored in the 49th minute and thus improved the error of the first half. It didn’t take long and the Reds equalized the score to 1-1, it was Mohamed Salah who scored from the penalty spot (63 ‘).
In the continuation the game was all dominated by the guests, Gundogan scored once again in the 73rd minute, while after three minutes Raheem Sterling and finally for 1-4 Phil Foden (83 ‘).
After this victory, the team of Pep Guardiola is ranked in the first place in the Premier League with 50 points, while that of Jugen Klopp in the fourth position with 40 points.
