“The news is 21 wins in a row” – Guardiola declares after the loss of City in the derby against United

Pep Guardiola has commented on Manchester City’s loss to local rival Manchester United in the 27th week of the Premier League.

The Red Devils triumphed 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium, ending a fantastic 21-game winning streak in the Premier League.

Guardiola said after the derby that the news is that they had 21 wins in a row, and not the loss they suffered.

“We will be the news because of the loss,” the Spaniard told Sky Sports. “But the main news is 21 consecutive victories.”

“There are still 30 points in the game and we have to get back to winning ways. This is football. “Sometimes it happens.”

“It was a fantastic match. United played a good game, putting a lot of pressure. But, we also played quite well. “Unfortunately we did not use the cases”, Guardiola added further.

Manchester City continues to be the leader in the Premier League with 11 points difference from the second place, which is Manchester United. /Telegraph/
